After its huge success with the Ring Doorbell and addition of Ring cameras and the Ring security system, Ring has now expanded their product offering with Ring Smart Lighting.
What makes these lights smart? In addition to having built in motion sensors that activate the lights when motion is sensed, these smart lights can also turned on and off by the Ring app or using Alexa voice control. Motion sensitivity and light output levels can also be adjusted by the app.
Lights can be grouped together to so when one of the lights, or a motion sensor, detects motion, all of the lights in a group turn on. They can also be triggered by a Ring Doorbell or Ring cameras.
Now available at Aartech Canada, Ring Smart Lighting includes path lights, step lights, spotlights, floodlights and motion sensors.
There is even a Ring Transformer that can power standard landscape lights to turn them in to smart lights.
Each home requires one Ring Bridge, a WiFi device that lets them communicate with the Ring app. The bridge supports up to 50 devices depending on several variables – more than enough for most installations.
